Attendance Information
Each student is required to adhere to the following attendance rules: • The SusQ-Cyber Charter School follows a 180-day school calendar.
• A student's day is 5.5 hours per day.
• Students must attend every school day on the school calendar.
• Students may work on their courses 24 hours per day, seven days a week. They must work the days school is in session.
• Failure to log-on to their website courses will be recorded as an absence.
• Parent/guardian must submit an excuse for everyday a student is absent.
• Students under 17 years of age who are absent without excuse are illegally absent.
• Students who are over 17 years of age who are absent without excuse are unexcused.
• The attendance officer will call students to determine the reason for their absence if none is submitted.
• Students under 17 years of age with 3 illegal absences must receive a First Notice of Illegal Absence and on subsequent absences must be fined.
• Under direction from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, students over 17 years of age with 10 consecutive days of unexcused absence will be withdrawn from the school.
